recession

We are tightening our belts,
pinching our pennies,
scouring the classified ads,

trying to find a place
to fit into this economy,
feeling the pressure
of a dwindling job market,
contemplating whether
this is an apocalypse.

I say
if it is
let it come–

that this crumbling
is giving us
reason to build
ourselves.
