23 March 201023 March 2010 ~ Narinda

As well as
anyone

you know
the edges;

how sharp
they are

how deeply
they can cut

how much
they might harm
those who
venture too
close and
unarmed

and you
stand there
anyway.

I live and make pottery on Chochenyo and Karkin Ohlone land. If you live there, too, please consider joining me in paying the Shuumi Land Tax.

If you live elsewhere, please consider spending some time searching out the indigenous organizations nearest you (and the places you love) to support.
