thief of
sweaters
t-shirts
cardigans–
if it’s soft,
thin, threadbare,
loved,
I’ll love it.
There’s something
about wearing
other people’s
clothes
they are reminders
of the people and
the love
and as soft
as they might be
they feel
like armor.
