honesty

9 February 201110 February 2011 ~ Narinda

the words tumble out
so clumsily
that sometimes it’s
easier to
shove them out
with a chuckle
than to lower them down
slowly,

the heart dangles there
precariously

I live and make pottery on Chochenyo and Karkin Ohlone land. If you live there, too, please consider joining me in paying the Shuumi Land Tax.

If you live elsewhere, please consider spending some time searching out the indigenous organizations nearest you (and the places you love) to support.
