10 April 201314 April 2013 ~ Narinda

i am inclined to say
this city is too easy

i know this is because
i only just got here

this city is a shiny new penny
i drove myself into

but i plan to stick around a while
long enough for the copper
alloy to oxidize

long enough to make it
a permanent fixture
in my pocket.

I live and make pottery on Chochenyo and Karkin Ohlone land. If you live there, too, please consider joining me in paying the Shuumi Land Tax.

If you live elsewhere, please consider spending some time searching out the indigenous organizations nearest you (and the places you love) to support.
