years later

12 April 201314 April 2013 ~ Narinda

i wonder what you do
with our history

whether you think of it
as i do

bittersweetly
with gratitude

certain that
the time has passed

fighting a vague
distant wish
for another chance.

I live and make pottery on Chochenyo and Karkin Ohlone land. If you live there, too, please consider joining me in paying the Shuumi Land Tax.

If you live elsewhere, please consider spending some time searching out the indigenous organizations nearest you (and the places you love) to support.
