how joyous it is
to circle
one another
to soar
together
to learn
what our wings
were made for
to practice
flight
to travel far
and remember
how to return
to travel
to return
to find each other
to fly together
to fly
we fly
not exactly related, but these are old pieces i was thinking about when I first sat down to write: dawn in bliss
I graduated from UC Irvine in 2007, moved to Los Angeles, and worked with arts/community organizations throughout the city from 2007-2012. Most formative have been my experiences with Tuesday Night Project and Asian American lesbian web series That's What She Said. Recently, I was a First-Year Public Ally and S. Mark Taper Foundation Fellow working as a case manager with homeless and low-income seniors in Downtown Los Angeles' Skid Row.
I'm currently spreading roots to Oakland, CA while continuing to be very much in love with Los Angeles.
