go live in a town no one dreams about living in
build a little house
tend a garden
live the small, quiet life
you spent your youth trying to avoid
maybe you’ll never measure up
to anyone you’ve ever admired
at night, look at stars in the sky
lay close to your lover
and if that’s enough,
it’s enough.
In my sixties now, aiming to be water on the stone; in my thirties, I was more of a jackhammer on the stone. If one is going to use a jackhammer at any age, learn yoga, too.
