Exhibiting artist in Sowing Agency April 30 – May 23, 2021.
I began making pottery in 2014 as an exploration of studio art and craft, something I’d never done before. The material that was most accessible to me growing up was words; ink, paper, thoughts. Things that can be tucked away, things that don’t take up much literal space.
I make objects to be used in daily life, for plants to grow in, for beauty.
They require a place to be.
They necessitate me staying in a certain place, for a certain time. They are a cooperative effort between my hands and earth and fire.
I am in love with it.
As it is very important to me that folks #touchmypottery, I mostly sell my work at the occasional holiday market or pop-up, by appointment (now also offering virtual appointments).
